I wanted:

Decent size
Sturdy
Microwaveable
Won't spill if you knock it over

Finding one that's microwaveable and completely closes was harder than I expected.

I had a cup from Starbucks that was almost impossible to get the top on where it wouldn't leak and the interior quickly separated from the exterior and eventually the exterior dropped and broke.

I've dropped this one a couple times with no apparent damage. I find I still have to concentrate to screw the lid on correctly but it's much easier than the Starbucks cup. Also, if you fill it up all the way, it will drip. I think leaving the sipping hole open when I screw on the cap helps but I haven't taken the time to figure it out.

Also, it's not going to keep your coffee hot that long -- maybe 90 minutes -- but that's where microwaveable comes in.

It's a little on the heavy side but it's really good when it's closed. No more spilling! The flip touches my nose when I drink the coffee.

I bought this item in gray. The first time I used it, I poured hot coffee in, which the tumbler is supposed to accommodate. Some splashed off the edge of the opening. Now I have a crack on the collar around the opening and in another spot, a crack about 4 inches long. The inside looked fine though. So I used the thing last night for iced tea. Unfortunately, it kept either leaking or gathering condensation on the bottom so I had multiple rings on the conference table in my class to clean up (glass top, fortunately). That shouldn't happen with a double walled insulated container. Not happy. Not planning to ever buy from this company again.
