I had heard great things about the Contigo stainless steel travel mug in passing, don't really remember where. But it piqued my interest again when I saw a co-worker with one at work, so I decided to buy a pair for myself (it was cheaper that way and I can gift the second if I decide I don't need two). Its construction is stable and solid, love the look of brushed stainless steel on the body and the clean contemporary design. Its plastic cap is thoughtfully ringed with a grippy silicone ring bonded all the way around and continues into the inside edge where it provides the seal against the tumbler's edge. First time I used it I poured my coffee in, added creamer and sugar and found it was too deep for the plastic stirrer. No matter, because as soon as I had the lid tightly in place, I could shake to mix without worry of even a single drop leaking out!

These cups are awesome---spill proof and keep my coffee hot a lot longer than any other travel mug I have!

THE MUG IS SPILL PROOF, BUT SO ARE A LOT OF OTHER THINGS TO CARRY YOUR DRINKS IN. WHAT SELLS THIS MUG, IS THAT THE YOU DRINK RIGHT OFF THE TOP OF THE LID; IT DOES NOT HAVE A RECESSED CAVITY TO FILL WITH LIQUID (JUST LIKE A STARBUCKS SIPPER LID). THE SQUEEZE BUTTON IS COMFORTABLE AND EASY (YOU DO NOT HAVE TO POSITION FINGERS; JUST GRAB AND SQUEEZE). I ALMOST BOUGHT A $10.00 SIMILAR MUG, BUT THE SQUEEZE BUTTON WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO POSITION FINGERS WITH (FOR THE DEPRESSION). THIS ONE IS TRULY THE BEST!! JUST WISH IT CAME IN A CHERRY RED INSTEAD OF BERRY.
