Contigo 24-Ounce BPA Free Water Bottle with Autoseal Lid and Caribiner Clip

Comment: Got this as a replacement for one i left at the gym. The seal works fine. Turn it upside down and shake it and nothing will come out. Good size, and has markers on the side denoting how much water you've consumed - handy for those who track/monitor. Not heavy, feels good in the hands. I personally don't use the clip as i store in a backpack, but the clip opens and closes easily and fits well. Button to open the mouth works easily and doesn't take a lot of strength at all.

The only issue (and it's not a major one) is that as you release the button to close the mouth, you'll sometimes get some spray/splashback of whatever liquid you have in there. Not a big deal if it's water, but if you have some colored liquid - may be an issue if you're wearing something nice ;) Also, i wonder if the top unit where the seal is is hard to clean. Would be hard to tell how clean the internal components are. As such, i gave a 4/5.

Overall, great bottle. No plasticy aftertaste at this point (i've had it for about 1.5 months).

Comment: I bought mine for $9.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond and love it. I love the weight of it and I love that it is so easy to use and clean. I haven't washed it in the Dishwasher and I am hoping it doesn't melt like every other one I have had. I will keep you posted.

Comment: The single star isn't against this water bottle, it is just to get people's attention and a dig against Amazon for charging so much for just one water bottle! I went to Costco and found them for $16 for three. Sure, it costs for a membership, but you always make it back in savings in the end. I've always thought Amazon had the best prices, but it pays to look around. Also, I didn't have to wait until February for these things to ship! I hope I save some people some money with this post!

Comment: This water bottle works pretty much as advertised. It is, in fact, spill proof, unless something hits the button to open it up while it's in your bag or something. It's a strong bottle, and fits the middle cup holder of an '04 VW Golf perfectly. I thought that the plastic clip wouldn't be very strong, but it's nice and sturdy. It sprays a little water from time to time when I hit the button, but other than that I'm very happy with the purchase.

Comment: My mom gave my husband and I each one of these a few months ago- and we both wish we've had them for years! They fit in the cup holder in the car, don't leak, and are easy to use with one hand. We don't always take them hiking, because they are tall, but fit well in a side pocket on a backpack. I also have the contigo double walled coffee mug, and finally have put a stop to the coffee spills in the car. Contigo makes a great product!
