I am purchasing a second tumbler mug today just in case my first one ever fails. This is the best coffee mug I have ever owned. I bought my first one on a Costco special almost two years ago. It doesn't leak or spill even if I turn it upside down and leave it that way. It is comfortable to drink from and the lid design eliminates confusion about where my mouth goes while I'm driving. My husband has the Extreme carabiner model with the handle and he loves his as much as I do! Buy these before they're discontinued. :)

This has ended my lifetime coffee mug search!
For years I have searched for a travel mug. It has now ended once I found the Contigo mugs. I love them. They seal very tight, you can drop and not a drop spills. They come with or without a handle. I love the handle one as it has a secure clip you can attach to a backpack if you like. NO SPILLING! The top has a flip top lid so you can drink, but once you snap that shut its there on tight. Every morning I fill the mug first with hot water while my coffee is brewing. I then dump the hot water and pour in the coffee. It stays hot for a long long time. I will never switch to another travel mug.

These mugs are really great at keeping liquid contained. In fact, I make my coffee and rather than stirring it, I put the lid on and shake it.
However, if what you're looking for is a mug that also keeps the temperature of the liquid pretty constant for a long time, its really worth getting the metal contigo tumbler (a). This mug is good for an hour or two, but the metal one is good for more like 4 or 6 hours.
(b) I am a girl with fairly small hands, but I cannot fit my hand inside the mug in order to wash it. Since the mug is not dishwasher safe, washing the mug can be a bit of an adventure.
(c) I'm noticing some condensation building up between the two walls of the mug. I can see this getting yucky sooner or later -- for reference, I've had the mugs maybe 3 months.
