Yes, it works for both hot and cold, though I only use it for coffee...so far. Summer may be a different story, but I have NEVER had a go-cup keep coffee hot this long. I immediately had to see if the claim that you could hold it upside down and it wouldn't leak was true--and it was! I'm completely impressed and absolutely love the cup. A testament to it's strength: My daughter rolled my truck, twice. The cup was thrown all around and the truck was totaled, but I only had one tiny, hardly noticeable dent, on the bottom and a small scratch on the side. HER Contigo, on the other hand, didn't have a scratch or dent on it! This cup is well worth the cost. BTW, I counted on the picture being true. This set had one silver and one red, which is exactly what I wanted. I plan to buy other colors for my coffee-drinking friends. This cup is that good!!!

I have really enjoyed the tumblers that I purchased. They really do keep my coffee hotter for longer periods of time then any other cups I have ever used. I liked the Autoseal Stainless Steel tumblers so much I purchased 2 more. Thanks for having such good products.

I ordered these for my son who lost his OXO drip-less cup. After much research, I chose this product for it's ease of cleaning and consistently positive reviews. My coffee-loving son is quite pleased with Contigo's temperature retention, ease of use while driving and access to all areas for cleaning.
As a result of my research I took apart the lids of my own 2 OXO cups and was really grossed out! Will likely replace my own as well.
