I recently bought this mug to use for blending my morning protein shakes. As recommended, I generally use 6 oz skim milk with one scoop of protein powder. This mug does a poor job of mixing out the lumps in the powder, no more effective than the old fashioned shaker method. I put in brand new batteries and have tried a couple different brands of powder and using water in place of milk and the results are always the same- lumps. I would not recommend this product for this use. Kids love using it for blending Crystal Light though.

Very good cup mixer! I got this at the local mall 'as seen on tv' and been groovin' ever since.

I use this to mix flavor packets, since it does a perfect job of it everytime (no residual or clumps left behind). My current favorite are the Arizona Diet Green Tea packets. Im getting my green tea on a regular basis now, with included antioxidants..;)

-The rubber power button cover on my cup popped off (grey dot in the pic), on the first day..fun times. I can still use the power button. Funny was when I couldnt turn the damn thing off when trying to show it off.. :) oh this thing is a big hit at the office, sounds like Im making expresso's..haha.

I'm giving this mixer 4 stars because I use it every day to mix milk and a protein powder and it does it successfully. The mug itself seems solid and well made. The mixer itself is the flimsiest plastic and the motor has minimal torque. I can only half fill the mug with milk or it will not be able to produce the 'tornado' mixing effect. I would recommend this only for light mixing of powders with small amounts of fluid.
