Summary: Use It Daily! 2010-02-26
Comment: I bought this Tea Tumbler to use with my Mighty Tea loose tea and it works wonderfully. I recently transitioned from buying a latte every morning to making myself tea at home to take to work and needed something that would be efficient. This tea tumbler made my transition almost effortless. I just fill the thermos with hot water, scoop out the tea, drop into infuser, screw on the top lid and flip it over. Minutes later I trade out the infuser for the drinking lid, screw the top cover back on and I'm out the door. Keeps my tea hot for a good time. Can't see myself without it now.

Summary: Best way to tea travel 2010-02-11
Comment: I am a heavy tea drinker and use this whenever I'm drinking (tea) out of the house. It's holding up after being thrown and tossed around in my backpack, its primary residency, for over a year. The seals work, never hard this leak in a bag.

Making a cup is easy. I prefer using this rather than a typical metal strainer. Sometimes I'll make tea in the thermos and then pour it in a drinking cup, mainly because the thermos is so insulated. So insulated. It was still hot 9 hours later from steeping. If I plan to drink within several hours I will put an ice cube into the thermos before I seal it, just so it wont burn my mouth. The thermos is well built too, I think the flexible rubber seal will give out (harden?) first. It's given no indication of failing but I will dread the day it does, better order a few thermoses for backup.

Only gripe is if you want to make tea when traveling you have to carry the sipper piece separate from the container. You can have either the strainer or the sipper in at the same time, in addition to the top piece. I don't carry around the strainer around much anyway.

Summary: Awesome! 2010-02-07
Comment: On the plus side:
- Absolutely 100% waterproof when using the outside lid. The lid is convenient enough to take on and off if you are sipping over a really long period of time.
- Keeps things stupid hot for a VERY long time. Recently used it on cross-country flights and I'd have it filled with hot water at a coffee shop at the terminal and it would still be very hot 6+ hours later after getting off the plane.
- The tead infusor works VERY well.
- Can be used for other drinks besides tea.
- If you keep the outer lid on the infusor portion, all your tea remains intact for a second brewing.
- Contrary to other reports, I have not had problems with loose tea (I use green tea) getting through the infusor. A tiny bit will, but not more than you would get using a clay tea pot.

On the negative side:
- It holds just slightly more than a cup. This is perfect for tea, but not so great for other beverages like coffee or hot apple cider.
- There will always be an extra piece. You can use the sippy lid or the infusor lid, but not both at the same time. So when you are brewing tea, the sippy lid is off. When you are sipping, the infusor is off. At home or at the office this is no biggie. On an airplane I kept a little ziplock baggy for the extra piece.
- The outside stays cold no matter what you put in it so you have to be careful you don't burn yourself and the liquid can be hotter than you think.

Overal, this thing is absolutely awesome and I love it to deat. For anyone who really likes to drink loose tea, this is a must have item... I don't know how I survived without it.

Summary: Perfection on the go! 2010-01-14
Comment: I don't write too many reviews, but this travel mug really blew me away. I've recently been switching from drinking coffee to drinking loose leaf green tea, so I wanted a tumbler which also had a tea strainer. I followed everyone's instructions: adding hot water, then tea strainer, then tea, then top lid and then turn upside down. It really is leakproof, and for as many reviews on this as I've read, I didn't believe it until I used it.

I actually like the size since it fits in the side mesh pocket of my backpack very securely. It also fit's in car cup holders. I've also just thrown it in my backpack along with my books and laptop... something I never thought I would do with a travel mug!

The insulation is outstanding and it really keeps my tea hot.
