This cap is made out some sort of plastic with a silver coating. The silver fades, chips off and does NOT hold up for more than a few seasons of fishing. Then you have to buy another. The thermos is built well & made to last. Too bad they didn't make the lid in the same light.If anyone knows of a better quality lid/cup, please let me know.

When the metal external piece fell off my old cup, I thought I'd never be able to identify vampires by looking at them with a hot beverage cup again. Then I found this and I'm back in business! Thanks, Stanley!

I would pay twice for a stainless replacement cup!...
This is OK. But use it intensely for a year and you need to replace it. Or just use it for many years and taste start to present itself, imagine what leaks out from these now Chinese made plastic caps...
