Got this as a Christmas gift for someone & the first time they used it, coffee spilled down the mug & onto their lap. Apparently the plastic piece in the cap that is supposed to keep spills from happening, was not in properly (half coming undone).

I like everything about this mug except the lid. The plastic is rough around the top edge, especially along the drinking spout, which is bothersome with every sip. FansEdge was kind enough to send an exchange, but the lid of the new mug was also imperfect as was the black plastic band around the top of the tumbler itself, so I returned the replacement. Otherwise, the construction of the mug is solid, the Jayhawk is firmly attached,the handle secure and it keeps drinks cold (or hot, I expect).
