Thermos Nissan 14-Ounce Leak-Proof Travel Mug, Smoke Color

Comment: I'm Scandinavian (Finn), I drink lots of coffee. I used to have to put up with what was available in hot liquid travel containers, but since my beloved wife bought this travel mug for me for Christmas 2 years ago, life is very good. My recent purchase was for two additional Thermos Nissan mugs for my brother and sister.

I have 4 other travel mugs that now sit in the cupboard, including the elegant mug I bought from the York, PA, Harley-Davidson factory. That one gets used, just less frequently. But for those of us who enjoy, *Truly Enjoy*, drinking hot coffee, (I enjoy iced cappuccinos too, so I'm not denigrating the cold java drinkers) the steamy aroma is part of the whole coffee drinking experience.

If you're on the road and drinking coffee from your average travel mug, you'll be looking for a hot refill in 15 minutes (if it's not empty, of course) and a place to dump the cold stuff out. Repeated throughout the day, this just takes the fun out of traveling. If you look at the cap-to-cup seal of your typical travel mug, you'll see a 'snap-top' configuration, with openings that merely open and close to prevent beverage spillage. What is escaping, however, is the steam which carries away heat and flavor. For short term use, these work just fine. For Interstate driving, better performance is needed.

The Thermos Nissan Travel Mug has a cap-to-cup seal that, if left closed with a hot beverage for awhile, can be a real bear to open. It's that tight. The heat expands against the screw-top cap and will keep my coffee hot for as long as I'm interested in it.

Guys...this is one of those things you should buy two of, against losing your daily sipper 10 years from now.

Comment: I have had this mug for over a year now, and I really like it EXCEPT for the fact that the rubberized handle gets sticky in a very nasty way over time. I have tried numerous cleaning products--even Goo-Gone--and the stickiness always returns. So, my next mug will definitely be without any rubberized parts. YUCK!

Comment: Great coffee cup. I bought it for my wife to take to work. It goes in her purse and she doesn't have to worry about it leaking. Keeps it hot for a long time. Great product.

Comment: The Thermos TherMax mugs are simply awesome, I have two and really enjoy both. High quality and keeps drinks warm or cold for hours.
TherMax mugs are vacuum sealed and far superior to most travel mugs available elsewhere. I put hot water in mine for about ten minutes before adding my coffee and it stays piping hot for three or four hours.

Comment: i've tried all types of mugs for taking my coffee with me in the morning. ...it was a frustrating process, with many disappointments. other mugs were either unable to keep my beverage hot, or they leaked, or they were very hard to clean. this mug- now i have 4 of them for the rest of my family, is the best i've ever owned. i've used these now for over a year. Not only is the thermos insulation the quality you'd expect, keeping hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold, the cleaning of the cup is simple and effective (no hidden parts you can't reach), and i never have experienced a leak in any of the cups, which i often carry sideways with the included carabiner. i used different colored carabiners so we could keep our own cups identifiable, but i cheat and take someone else's when i can't find my own! this is a spectacularly useful item, in my opinion, and i recommend highly.
