Product Description
Thermos JMH402 Stainless Steel Travel Tumbler.
Amazon.com Review
For easy-sip, no-spill commuting, this thermos offers an ingenious solution. A lever opens the sip-hole with a light squeeze of the fingers. Relax the fingers and the hole closes. Bingo! Since the lever lies opposite the sip-hole, the Travel Tumbler works for righthanders and lefthanders. Virtually unbreakable, this lightweight, vacuum-insulated thermos travels to work or your favorite recreation spot. On arrival, and for hours afterward, coffee, tea, or soup will still be hot. Or lemonade, iced tea, or a sports drink will still be chilled. It's compact (7-3/4 inches high) and handsome. A band of soft, nonslip black rubber encircles the tapered, satin-finish exterior, ensuring a firm grip. Top, bottom, and L-shaped lever are black plastic. Fine threading ensures the twist top seals tightly, while the smooth interior cleans with sponge or cloth. Preheating or prechilling with hot or cold water is recommended. --Fred Brack
Comment: I've had my Nissan travel mug for 12 years now and seasoned well. I can't count how many times I have dropped it or driven off with it on top of the car. Despite many falls it only has 1 dent and the sip/lever has never worn out. This is one tough cup. The only time I had a leak issue was when I put the lid on crooked or overfilled the cup. I've been looking for another one for many years so I could have a spare just in case this one were to finally break or get lost. I use this cup daily. Here's a tip for the guys, if you need a free hand, to get into the car maybe, don't set the cup on top (where you will undoubtedly forget it and drive off, like me). Instead the handle hooks on the belt real nice.

Comment: The only reason why I give it 4 stars and my only complaint is that it is not exactly leak proof. Other brands I've tried are Contigo (leak proof but no lip on the top and didn't like the button you push to drink it), starbucks.

Comment: I have a previous model of this type of travel cup and have had it for over 15 years, still have it and love it. I like this model better because the handle opens and closes the drink hole, instead of the flip top of the older model. Makes it easier to use because it recloses automatically and you only need to use one hand. It keeps hot liquid hot for hours. I have not tried it for cold liquids. I have not used any other travel mug that comes close to this one. Makes a great present too!

Comment: This is the perfect travel mug for our me. Keeps my coffee hot & it never drips down my chin. :) I don't know why, but it seems that other mugs have tricky tops that either leak from the seal or just have a poor design. I love that you squeeze the handle to open the spout to get your drink. No spills, no leaks, no spots! Perfect for me.

Comment: Nissan makes the best commuter travel mugs around. They are very durable and keep you coffee warm for hours even on the coldest of days (winter in Chicago). I have had one of these for 5 years with no problems, still keeps heat in great and doesn't leak. I love it so much I just bought one for my wife.
