I purchased a different one of these at a retail store for my wife. I liked it so much that I 'stole' that one and bought her this purple one on Amazon.

Pros:
Keeps liquid really hot for several hours (as advertised)
Spill-proof mechanism works really well. I throw this mug in my computer bag with no problems.
Looks sharp!

Cons:
Because liquid stays so hot, you can easily burn your tongue if you're not careful.
(We cool it down some before sealing the lid :)
It's sometimes hard to see where to drink from with the black lids (the two little holes blend in). The white lids are much easier.
The spill-proof mechanism comes apart easily, but it does take a little time to clean the seals and gasket. Every mug needs to be cleaned, but because of the extra features, this one takes an extra couple minutes. But it is easy.

I loved this mug for the first month. Then once I took the lid apart for cleaning it was down hill from there. The first time was fine. The second time I couldn't get it apart without pliers, then when I got it back together the plunger wouldn't work. My husband fiddled with it and got it working. The third time I took it apart to clean again the plunger stopped working. I finally got it working again, but it did not seal off tightly and leaked, and I am sure it is put together correctly. I did love how hot it kept liquids, but it is now useless to me. I will be putting it in the trash.

i really like this cup. i had a thermos brand that recently started leaking around the seal and needed a new one. and i am pretty dissapointed that this one is already leaking. if it didn't leak, it would have gotten 5 stars. it is long and top heavy, but so was my last one. i am just used to it so it doesn't bother me. it is darker than in the picture. i love thermos becuase i drink coffee pretty much all day and these cups keep your coffee hot for hours! if you keep the lid closed, it adds hours to helping it stay hot. if i am going to be gone all day long, i will bring two cups. fill a cheaper mug with coffee and my thermos mug with coffee. i will drink out of the cheaper one all morning, and when i am done, i still have another cup of hot coffee waiting for me. you save a lot of money that way!
