My daughter loves this thermos but after being dropped a number of times the lid broke. If you call Thermos customer service (800-831-9242), you can get replacement lids for $2. I ordered several. Well worth the rescue of the bottle.

Just picked up this bottle at Target today and so far I'm really liking it. What really grabbed my attention is the lid. It's a very nice one handed operation. Push the little rectangular button and the lid pops open all the way back so you can immediately drink from it without having to move the lid out of the way. The raised spout is very easy to drink from. I haven't had any problems getting as much water as I want, and at the speed of flow that I want, from the drink spout. I also like that the lid is a simple plastic lid without a bunch of intricate straw pieces and other things that require extra care and attention to cleaning. It appears to have a very good seal. I filled it with water and shook it in every direction, even let it sit on it's side for a while. I didn't have any...Read more

WARNING! Lid very easily broken!!,

I bought one of these water bottles at a Target only a couple months ago... and I loved it! Only problem is, today it slipped from my fingers onto a linoleum kitchen floor from about 2.5 feet above the ground (hanging from my finger through the little loop on the lid) and the lid broke!!! I am very disappointed in how easily the mechanism for the lid was snapped off. Although the bottle is still "usable" the lid will no longer stay closed. This was only the first time I dropped the bottle and it wasn't even enough to dent the metal! So as a warning to all potential buyers, their designs may be really cool, but the LID IS VERY FRAGILE!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!
