To begin with, I am ridiculously particular about my mugs. Timolino makes the best mug I've ever used. This Signature Vacuum mug keeps hot tea hot for around 2 hours, and warm for another two to three. Because it is vacuum insulated, the outside metal barely gets warm, even after pouring boiling water into the mug. It is sturdy with a good hefty feel, and the sliding lid stays open and closed when you want it to. I've dropped it over and over without any significant damage. The only improvement I'd make is to change the smooth plastic handle to something more sculpted to improve grip and hand feel. All in all, an outstanding mug whose best feature is maintaining a hot cuppa for longer than physics should allow.

We've tried many different travel mugs and this is clearly our favorite. I purchased the first one several years ago & kept looking for more in the stores. I finally did an extensive internet search to try to figure it out & was happy to find that they come in different colors, and that they also offer this vacuum type. This type actually keeps drinks cold or warm even longer than the original one we had. When I bought the second one- my daughter started taking it over since she liked it so much- so I recently bought her one for a gift also.
Pros/Cons:
* Large capacity yet it has a tapered bottom to fit in all our cup holders (tapered bottom makes it tippy if you're planning to use it at your desk but they do make desktop & spill proof models- not sure if they'd work in cup holders though)
* Very durable-high quality- the oldest one has been dropped numerous times- even off the back of our truck- yet still works great!
