Desktop Mug Does Not Do the Job,
March 15, 2005 Sharon D. Michalove (Champaign, Illinois) - See all my reviews
I have been looking for my personal holy grail of coffee mugs--one that holds at least 20 oz., doesn't leak, and keeps my coffee hot. I ordered this mug because I hoped it would fit two of the criteria, keeping the coffee hot and holding at least 20 oz. It does hold enough coffee, but it definitely did not keep my coffee hot over several hours.
In the end I found a Thermos Thermax mug that holds 20 oz., does not leak in my briefcase, and keeps my coffee very hot.
If you want a mug that holds a lot of coffee and looks great on your desk, the Timolino is fine. But if you want a large capacity mug that keeps your coffee hot, this isn't it.

Stainless Steel Throughout,

While the prior reviewer indicates this mug doesn't keep his coffee as hot for as long as he wants (and he is right that it does leak SOME heat), it is stainless steel inside and out. Many so-called stainless steel mugs are plastic inside. The reason this is bad: scientists have posited that chemicals leach from the plastic ... I don't want this. AND ... for me, the coffee stays hot very long enough. The other reviewer must really drink slowly! :-)

My husband loves this mug.. it's the only one he'll use. It's much larger than some of the mugs out there, and keeps your coffee hot for a long time.
