After I first opened up this Apollo pump pot, (2-1/5 liter), I thought, Oh No!!! Its not going to be big enough, so I immediately ordered a second one...which worked out great for the way I planned on putting these into service. In central Illinois, every fall, we have a large fall drive, through beautiful country side, with all the great fall colors. This year over 8,000 people attended, well; drove it, and that is a great turnout. Through out this drive and in each small town, there are vendors, from very experienced artists with a myriad of wares to small garage sales or flea markets. I had the opportunity to open up an old vendor stand which had been closed for over 5 years, but was a favorite in my area. I knew if the mornings were cool, that visitors would want hot coffee, so I got on Amazon and found these pumps. They were perfect, each held more than enough, and if the second one started emptying, there was plenty of time to make a couple of pots from a regular coffee...Read more

We bought this pot to replace a skimpy 10 cup Coffee carafe. Talk about ridiculous to sublime. This pot holds an enormous amount of coffee! The pump action is smooth and works well.

I have beeen using a glass lined air pot I purchased at walmart for 14 dollars the last 2 or 3 years. It has given good service but the seal at the neck was some sort of putty. It was getting old and pieces of it were falling into the interior into the liquid. I had previously purchased a Stanley Professional Air pot for our boat that had a Stainless liner rather than glass one as the glass ones break if they are bounced off the counter by a wave. I purchased this one for my home based on how much I had liked the Stanley with the stainless liner. I hadn't really looked at the brand of the one on the boat when I purchased this one just saw that it had good reviews.
I have to say that it works, but not as well as either the cheap walmart one or the Stanley professional with the stainless liner. The 14 dollar walmart one would have medium warm water in it 12 hours later. The Stanley Professional would have water that was hot enough to hurt 12 hours later. This one has lukewarm...Read more
