This is a high quality SS Carafe. It's extremely efficient. Put ice into it in the morning and you'll have ice the next day (with some water, of course). It's made in China for Zojirushi Corp. I've been using it every day since I bought it. I would buy another if I needed the capacity.

I've used this carafe on a daily basis for six months, for hot and cold. It has worked admirably without any problems whatsoever, and I've gone through many carafes before this one so I know the problems one can have with breakage, leaking, not keeping things hot enough, and inefficient cleaning. I've dropped this carafe on a tile floor; it didn't break. I've run it through the dishwasher; nothing has leaked. It keeps ice solid for a full day in blasting hot weather, and coffee remains really hot no matter how cold it is. What I like best about this carafe is that it has a very wide neck. You can get your hand down there to give it a thorough cleaning. No more gunk at the bottom of the carafe! I like it so much that I am buying a second one.
