As far as doing the job it is intended to do, this bottle definitely gets an A+. I use it to store a cold protein shake I make in the morning, and 8 hours later when I go to drink the shake it is just as cool as it was out of the blender. If you want a bottle to keep a cold beverage cold, this one gets the job done perfectly.
However, it's not without its faults. The first time I ever carried the bottle I placed it into my vehicle's cup holder (a loose plastic ring type) and when I took the bottle out I noticed that there was now a permanent scuff mark in the finish of the bottle. Normally I wouldn't mind, but for something so aesthetically pleasing and priced as high as this bottle is, I was pretty disappointed to say the least. At least in the Clear Black color it's pretty hard to see the marks except under direct lighting. It would be nice if the finish could stand up to everyday wear and tear as I'm certainly not about to take an automotive buffer to a drink...Read more

Teflon is very safe
Ordinarily, Teflon is extremely safe. The whole point of Teflon is that nothing reacts with it; that's part of the reason nothing sticks to it. If you were to eat some, your body would ignore it and it would come out the other end without doing anything at all. It can't cause cancer or anything else if it doesn't react. They'll even coat implants (like replacement joints) in Teflon precisely to keep things from sticking to them.
The one known danger of Teflon (really PTFE; "Teflon" is a brand name) happens when you overheat it. When it hits 500 degrees or so, it can break down and the products of that are bad to breathe. You get flu-like symptoms (headache, fever, chills, cough) but since it's not transmissible. It would be bad if it happened every day, and birds are extremely susceptible to it, but it doesn't kill humans.
As long as there is food in the pan, the Teflon can't overheat, since the food cools it...Read more

This water bottle keeps water cold for over 24 hours. I usually fill it 1/3 full of ice, then the rest with water. Many times the ice will still be there when I bring the bottle home in the evening.
The string that attaches the cap to the bottle is extremely important to me, as it lets me carry the bottle with one finger, rather than requiring me to grip it with my hand.
The instructions say never to use it for juice or hot liquids, which might be a turnoff for some people. I've used it for hot water (not to drink directly from, of course) and it worked ok, but didn't seem to keep water hot for longer than an hour or two though.
The older model which I bought in Japan in 2009 was silver colored. Wish they'd kept that color - the black color gets pretty hot when left in the sun.
