I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and purchased this thermos in conjunction with the Mr. Coffee 8-Cup Thermal Programmable Coffeemaker. What a difference a good coffeemaker and thermos can make. I get HOT coffee (not drinkable, warm) but HOT! For hours after making it. With the thermal coffeemaker there's no more burnt coffee flavor either.
I pour hot water into my thermos before I go to bed, to "preheat" it, and it is still steaming in the morning when I pour it out to add my coffee.
Well constructed! Suitable for any truck driver, construction worker or warrior out there! Great product! I couldn't be happier with it! Even the price we right!

Using another Zojirushi product, the hot water boiler, we boiled the water to 212 F. We immediately pour it into the Tuff Sports. It was able to keep the water very hot, only losing about 23 degree in eight hours. We can tell the temperature because we put it back to the water boiler to reboil and it indicated a temperature of around 188 degree. And the thermos was able to keep the temperature to around 160 degree after 24 hours. Simply put this is the best thermos we have ever owned.

my wife bought me a new stanley( from China) with the pour thru stopper for christmas from walmart.I wanted a pour thru stopper for deer hunting. it was junk. when i contacted stanley customer service and completed the forms they still did not care.it would not keep coffee hot for 2 hours. After checking the internet I bought the Zojirushi 51 oz and could not be happier.I work at a prison and often do double shifts and my coffee is still hot when i get home 18 hours after i make it. I have an older stanley thats made in the U.S.A. and i filled both with boiling water and set a timer for 8 hours. the old stanley was 162 degrees and the Zojirushi was 186 degrees.now I am happy with both of my thermoses and still use both of them. Stanley said that they did not want the other one back so i threw it in the trash. It has now been a year since my last contact with stanley. they never replaced the bad thermos and I will never buy any of them that is Made In China.I have showed several...Read more
